The rural development and panchayati raj department of Jammu and Kashmir administration on Tuesday launched a mobile application to help people lodge complaints related to various schemes online, officials said. The ‘jan nigrani’ app is an internet based solution for reporting and resolving grievances by the residents of the Jammu and Kashmir against various schemes of the department, they said. Read more

पर्यटन सीजन में पर्यटकों को अब पार्किंग के लिए भटकना नहीं पड़ेगा। पार्किंग की तलाश में पर्यटक वाहन नहीं भटकेंगे तो सड़कों पर जाम भी नहीं लगेगा। पुलिस उपमहानिरीक्षक की पहल पर शहर की आधा दर्जन पार्किंग को क्यूआर कोड से जोड़ दिया गया है। पर्यटक क्यूआर कोड स्कैन कर पार्किंग स्थलों की अप-टू-डेट जानकारी चंद मिनटों में अपने मोबाइल पर प्राप्त कर सकते हैं। Read more

This year, 2108 passengers availed the services of AN-32 Kargil Courier operated by Indian Air Force for passengers of Kargil.
275 passengers were lifted from Kargil to Srinagar, 614 from Srinagar to Kargil, 316 from Kargil to Jammu and 903 passengers from Jammu to Kargil. This year online tickets were made available to the passengers, due to efforts by the IT Department of Ladakh, including Amit Kumar and Vibhor.

रुद्रपुर। अपराध होने के बाद एफआईआर दर्ज कराने में लोगों को बहुत पापड़ बेलने होते हैं। वहीं 112 पर कॉल करने पर कई बार लोकेशन नहीं मिल पाने से पुलिस कर्मचारी समय पर नहीं पहुंच पाते हैं। इन सभी समस्याओं का समाधान करते हुए पुलिस ने 112 नंबर के आधुनिक कंट्रोल रूम का उद्घाटन किया है। एप के माध्यम से ही घर बैठे एफआईआर दर्ज कराने की सहूलियत मिलेगी। वहीं बिना पता पूछे ही पुलिस घर के दरवाजे तक कुछ समय में ही पहुंच जाएगी। Read more

In a first, the Ladakh administration has set up online booking of tickets for air services run by the Indian Air Force in the Union territory, officials said on Wednesday. The administration flagged off the operation of subsidised helicopter service from Ladakh. The service will cater to passengers from far-flung areas of Ladakh on approved routes from Leh-Lingshed, Dibling, Drass, Padum, Kargil, Nubra, Nerak, Jammu, Srinagar, they said. Read more

Every month around 12,000 people lose their lives on Indian Roads. Of these, 25% are two-wheeler riders, mostly youngsters. There is dire need to pass the Motor Vehicle (Amendment) Bill, 2016 at the earliest. This was the demand made by government officials, road safety activists, experts and NGOs of four states at a Regional Advocacy Meeting held in Ahmedabad. Vibhor Gupta, Founder, Mobiquel, talked about the HumSafar app for Road Safety. This app ensures that when a road accident occurs an alarm goes off that alerts the team, including police and medical personnel. Read more

JAIPUR: Amid concerns over rising death toll in road accidents, the Rajasthan government is set to introduce a mobile application that intends to reduce casualties by half by 2020. The app is likely to be rolled out nationally to help the country achieve the objective of WHO's Brasilia Declaration on Road Safety.
